I’ve upgraded to El Captian, also update to Quick Player 7.  When I attempt to view a movie from my files I get an error message that Quick Player cannot open the file.

I’ve recently upgraded my software to El Capitan 10.11.12. I’ve also update Quick Player to 7. When I attempt to view a movie from My Movies, I get an error message that Quick Player cannot open the file.
