My story as is: Aperture 3.4.5 exported my slideshow to .mov format (HD 1080p) movie. Got a 2.21 GB size file. I wanted to append titles to the movie (not a titles slide) so I created a super small project in iMovie 9.0.9 dedicated just to it later to be merged with the slideshow movie after being exported into a separated .mov file and it was when my real pain began: I tried exporting with different QT codecs, at one time even trying DVCPRO50 (PAL) but strange thing was that every time I tried to append that file a new resulting file (consisting of the main movie file and the titles file) had around 200 MB, 10x less the size of the big movie.
Get Info revealed that the latter was built around H.264 Linear PCM codec while the former had just H.264.
How do I get Linear PCM for the titles movie so that when joining these two the quality wouldn’t degrade?
